BLACKPINK has had an incredible year, adding more achievements to their already impressive list of accomplishments earned over their seven-year career.
Some of the group’s 2023 accomplishments include making history as the first girl group and Korean act to headline Coachella 2023‘s main stage, the first K-Pop group to headline a major UK music festival (BST Hyde Park summer festival), and being recently recognized by England’s King Charles III for their global impact, earning the royal honor of holding honorary titles as Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).
During her recent interview with W Korea, BLACKPINK’s Rosé reflected on all the group has achieved, sharing behind-the-scenes information about some of the group’s recent milestones.
One of those milestones was concluding their second world tour, BORN PINK, which was the highest-grossing tour by any female musical group in history, as well as the highest-grossing tour by an Asian act.
The tour spanned 11 months, with the group visiting 22 countries and performing 66 shows while also completing their own individual schedules and performances between their BORN PINK shows.
The epic tour concluded on September 17 in Seoul, following two encore shows in Gocheok Sky Dome.
W Korea wanted to know what the members said to each other when they walked off stage for the final time following their BORN PINK finale, and Rosé revealed how the group reacted to the last show.
Rosé sweetly shared that when the members left the stage, they couldn’t help repeatedly praising each other for a job well done.
Rosé added that the members also expressed gratitude for completing their 11-month-long tour without “anyone getting hurt.”
During her W Korea interview, Rosé also revealed her hopes for next year, which may hint at some exciting future activities.
