HYBE is claiming they had nothing to do with Min Hee Jin‘s firing.
On September 13, HYBE responded to Min Hee Jin’s injunction. The founder of ADOR filed a lawsuit against the company, citing court orders instructing HYBE to guarantee Min Hee Jin a 5-year term as per their shareholder’s agreement.
ADOR Founder Min Hee Jin Files Injunction Against HYBE
According to HYBE, the shareholder agreement is null-and-void and thus they are no longer bound by it. The label then incredulously claimed it had nothing to do with the firing despite forcing ADOR’s directors out and replacing them with the hand-picked board of directors who carried out the firing.
Although the shareholder’s agreement was made with Min Hee Jin, it has since been terminated. We can terminate the contract if we find justifiable cause and once it’s terminated, we are no longer bound by it. We have asked for the court’s opinion on whether we had a justifiable cause, so we need to wait. The decision to fire Min Hee Jin was made by ADOR’s board of directors independently and thus has nothing to do with HYBE or the shareholder’s agreement.

HYBE ended its statement by mocking Min Hee Jin who had emphasized the need for autonomy under HYBE’s controversial label umbrella.
It is regretful that Min Hee Jin, who has advocated for independence from HYBE, is not following the orders of ADOR’s own board of directors.

- “An independent decision? It’s connected to HYBE’s profits, so how can it not involve HYBE?”
- “These guys are seriously so stupid, lol. HYBE you’re so pathetic.”
- “LOL.”
Stay tuned.
