The members of SEVENTEEN have often dealt with sasaengs, also known as stalker fans, who invade their privacy by calling their personal phone numbers, following them to private schedules, and more.

Most recently, DK has become the victim of repeatedly receiving phone calls from a sasaeng. However, this one used an extremely manipulative tactic to coax him into answering the phone.
During a recent livestream, he revealed that he was tricked into answering the phone when the sasaeng pretended to be fellow SEVENTEEN member Seungkwan.
He answered the phone thinking it was Seungkwan but (the sasaeng) called under Seungkwan’s name.
Sasaengs are so scary….

The sasaeng used a technique that is common in voice phishing crimes where the caller ID is manipulated to seem like someone they know so the victim is more likely to answer the phone. After seeing the name “Seungkwan” appear, DK answered without a second thought. However, he immediately realized something was wrong. Netizens filled the comments with their hatred for such crimes.
- “Ha seriously why is this happening?”
- “F*ck there needs to be legal punishment for this.”
- “This is insane, seriously.”
- “Isn’t that a crime??”
- “Crazy… this is seriously scary.”
- “This is also really scary.”
- “Insane….”
- “Criminals…. crazy.”
