One of the biggest debates in K-Pop right now is the topic of bulk buying. Netizens have spotted huge piles of discarded albums on roads and in bins, as many K-Pop fans just want the photocards. In particular, with so many companies releasing huge amounts of photocards and multiple versions, the issue continues to rise and get even bigger.
It is a common issue among K-Pop fandoms and companies, but BTS’s Suga is being praised for his recent announcement amidst the controversy.
On May 20, netizens couldn’t hide their excitement when it was announced that Suga’s Agust D Tour D-DAY was being released on DVD.
Along with the announcement, there was a post of all the inclusions in the special release, and it ranged from posters, booklets, postcards, and of course, photocards.
While most albums and releases capitalize on “random PC” additions where you get a certain number of photocards out of the batch created, ARMYs were shocked to see that Suga’s package contained 28 photocards from each stop of his tour.
When the pictures were released, ARMYs couldn’t hide their reactions. Not only did they love the number of photocards, but loved that after everything going on, Suga decided to make an executive decision to gift ARMYs all the photocards rather than them having to buy many copies to get the whole set.
