Although 2022 was filled with some iconic BTS moments, one of the hardest times was when BTS’s Jin became the first member of the group to enlist for his military service. Despite looking very handsome, it is still an emotional time.
Of course, as much as ARMYs were emotional, it would’ve been worse for the members of BTS who were saying goodbye to their oldest member. In particular, as the photos were released of the members together, it was very emotional.
Although there have been updates through the military, the members have also been treating fans to some Jin content, so ARMYs don’t miss him too much. Recently, J-Hope gained attention for his throwback video that made ARMYs emotional.
On December 5 (KST), J-Hope shared some photos and videos from things that happened in 2022, including his activities and photos with other members.
If ARMYs went through to one of the final shots, it was a video of Jin from what seemed like his last filming session before he would have had to enlist. In the video, while Jin was thanking the staff, J-Hope was there cheering on his hyung.
Shouting, “JIN HYUNNNGGG!” J-Hope was shouting about how it was Jin’s last shoot and that it was time for him to enlist, adding, “Our Jin hyung goes in now.”
While someone else that wasn’t in the shot added that Jin should be crying, the group’s oldest member couldn’t stop thanking everyone for their hard work after adding, “It’s done!” while the camera turned to both J-Hope and Jin together.
Yet, it isn’t the first time J-Hope has made ARMYs feel emotional by updating them with some serious Jin content.
After his Dick Clark’s New Years’ Rockin’ Eve appearance, J-Hope did a special live broadcast. One of the important events he listed from the previous year was talking about Jin’s enlistment. J-Hope revealed that he recently received a phone call from Jin and was able to talk to him.
Actually, yesterday? Yesterday was the 31st. I got a call from Jin right before I went to sleep.

He then revealed that their conversation started with a funny misunderstanding.
‘J-Hooooope’ he said. ‘Hyuuuung, how are you doing?’ I asked. He said, ‘Answer my calls!’ and I said, ‘I don’t know this number!’

The two went back and forth, referring to each other lovingly as “J-Hooope” and “Hyuuung!” As J-Hope told the story, ARMY quickly saw how much he was missing Jin, and the idol added how comforted he was after hearing Jin.
I felt comforted on the inside when I heard his voice and it reminded me of the moments I spent with Jin, so that was very nice.

Of course, Jin leaving would have been extremely hard on the members, but the group is always there to update fans on Jin and make sure they don’t miss him too much.
