BTS's Suga Has A Unique Reputation In His Friend Group With Actress Lee Sung Kyung

Lee Sung Kyung was the latest guest to appear on Suchwita, the interview program hosted by BTS‘s Suga.

It was the first time their friendship was revealed. They met when a mutual musician friends of theirs hosted a gathering.

It’s funny saying it’s a ‘gathering,’ but anyway…the group of people that met that day all click really well together. No one stands out.

After explaining how their mutual friend group was formed, Lee Sung Kyung shared the unique reputation that Suga has among them. Unlike in BTS where he is the second oldest member, in this friend group he is the youngest. It was an adjustment for the rapper as he is used to putting on his older brother shoes when with his members.

In your team, you always have to act like the eldest. You have to be responsible and stay centered. That’s just your personality. You’re not someone who lets people baby you and you find that awkward too.

Suga agreed, saying that it was a new experience to be the maknae (youngest) in a group.

It’s the first time I’ve been the youngest in a group.

Lee Sung Kyung and their mutual friends understood this well. They wanted Suga to be able to feel what it is like to be treasured like a younger sibling.

The main way they do this is by becoming his cheering squad whenever BTS has a new release.

So when your team releases something we just want to build you up.

The actress stressed that their friend group simply wants what’s best for him. After all, Suga’s reputation is being “the baby, the youngest” in the group.

You’re the responsible one in BTS but to us, you’re not someone older. You’re just the baby, the youngest. [By saying] ‘You’re the best!’ that’s how we rooted for you and how we expressed ourselves. Whatever you do, we’re okay with and you’re always supported no matter what. We look out for you.
