The feud between HYBE Labels and ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin has heated up again recently after Dispatch released damning private text messages allegedly sent by Hee Jin. These texts revealed her consulting a shaman to determine NewJeans‘ member line-up, calling out feminists, scathing comments about the trainees/idols she worked with, and more.
Dispatch shared that their source for these leaked messages was HYBE Labels themselves, drawing heavy criticism from netizens for sharing this private and sensitive material including pre-debut images and videos of the NewJeans members. Even the parents of NewJeans’ members have gotten involved in the situation to try and defend their kids, making the whole affair incredibly messy and confusing.
With all of this happening, fans of NewJeans have also taken it upon themselves to try and protect the group’s members. Trucks have been spotted outside of the HYBE Labels headquarters with protest messages directed to the label regarding their behavior in the feud and demanding justice for the NewJeans members. The trucks seem to have been sent by fans of the group — called Tokkis, or Bunnies — and include several different messages.
Here are the messages that the trucks have written on them.
Translation: “Handing over information to wrecker YouTubers, negative virality, illegal leaking of personal information to ‘yellow press’, is HYBE above the law and human rights?”
