On March 6, KST, celebrity makeup artist Jung Saem Mool appeared on tvN‘s 10 Billion Won Breakfast and shared a terrifying incident she experienced abroad while accompanying one of the top Korean actresses for a photoshoot.
The actress in question is none other than Kim Tae Hee. The incident occurred in South Africa, where Jung Saem Mool was accompanying the actress for a photoshoot.
Jung recalled that she and Kim were invited to a dinner and were warmly welcomed by the entire Korean community living in the area.
The guide invited us to dinner. Since he told others that celebrities like actress Kim Tae Hee and other famous people from Korea would be there, the entire Korean community gathered there.

Jung added that the community gave them a warm welcome, but while everyone was getting settled in, she realized that the people gathered at the place had started screaming. Suddenly, a group of robbers barged in with guns.
Jung recalled that the robbers took everything valuable, including more than ₩20.0 million KRW (about $ 13,800 USD) worth of Ks belongings and the photographer’s camera. “They threw dozens of people, including children, into the bathroom,” she recounted, adding that thankfully no person was harmed physically.
The incident itself was so scary that it got covered on the 9 o’clock news as well. However, according to Jung, Kim Tae Hee remained calm throughout.
Despite the trauma of such an incident, Jung Saem Mool reflected on her experience in a more constructive light, remembering how she found comfort in the embrace of a young girl after the robbery.
A young Black girl looked at me with bright, curious eyes and smiled. She hugged me. That hug from the girl made all the fear and horrific trauma disappear.
