The YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute has been central in the ongoing exposé of actor Kim Soo Hyun with regard to his alleged relationship with the late actress Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor. But after its recent update, the channel has faced some pushback from netizens.
During a recent livestream on the channel, reporter-turned-YouTuber Kim Se Ui threatened to release an explicit photo of Kim Soo Hyun if his agency didn’t address the allegations adequately.
I’m going to reveal a new photo every day, one by one. If Kim Soo Hyun’s statement next week turns out to be bullsh*t, I’m going to release three of the really bad photos/videos I have… Just know that I have a photo of a person doing the dishes, naked, at his girlfriend’s house. Haha.

But later, Kim Se Ui notified her viewers that Kim Sae Ron’s mother had decided against releasing any further pictures out of concern for his mental stability.
I am working on convincing Kim Sae Ron’s parents. If Kim Soo Hyun dares to return to showing his face on TV, I’m going to release the naked dishwashing photo. But the bereaved are worried that Kim Soo Hyun might make bad decisions. That’s the thing with situations like these… I cannot go off on my own and release what they gave me against their wishes.

While the public highly praised Kim Sae Ron’s mother for her wise decision, the Garosero YouTube channel has received intense criticism for using a threat like that in the first place.
