IVE’s Rei recently gave fans a rare look into her eating habits while promoting, and her strict diet is gaining quite the attention online.

In a new episode of Follow Rei, a YouTube series under her agency Starship Entertainment, the IVE star documented her daily meals over several days. She explained that she no longer follows severe diet methods but instead focuses on portion control. However, her food intake was still surprisingly limited.
She started her mornings with just half an apple, often eating on the go due to her packed schedule. For lunch on the first day, she opted for Nasi Goreng and took her time eating it thoroughly. She also shared a personal tip for ordering food, advising fans to carefully check menu photos and customer reviews.

Rei revealed that during promotions, she usually eats only once a day and tries to extend her fasting periods. If she feels too hungry, she allows herself some fruit in the evening.
When I’m promoting, I try to keep my fasting period as long as possible. I enjoy my one meal a day, but I avoid spicy foods and late-night snacks to prevent bloating. Still, if I get too hungry in the evening, I’ll have some fruit.

On one occasion, she had a pack of strawberries for lunch and shrimp Tteokbokki for dinner. However, she later admitted that she still craved more and ended up waking in the middle of the night for a cream bun and tangerines. The next day, her meal consisted of just two pieces of kimbap and tomato juice.
I ate Tteokbokki the night before, but since I couldn’t eat much because of promotions, I was left unsatisfied. When I got home, I kept thinking about it, so I woke up in the middle of the night and ate a cream bun and some tangerines.
But since my music show schedule ends tomorrow, I’m looking forward to finally eating spicy food without worrying about swelling.

As she approached the final stretch of her music show promotions, she noted that exhaustion had reduced her appetite even more. At one point, she had only a slice of pizza and some strawberry juice.
Fans were shocked by how little she was eating, with many expressing concern over the demanding nature of K-Pop promotions.
