Earlier today, beloved Korean singer-songwriter Hello Gayoung declared her triumphant recovery from stage 4 cancer. The significant milestone was shared with her followers on Instagram, marking an end to what she described as the most challenging year of her life.
The Korean entertainment scene was initially shaken last March when Gayoung revealed her diagnosis of malignant lymphoma — a severe form of blood cancer. The news came as a startling revelation, propelling her into a rapid response as the disease was advancing swiftly.
Unfortunately, the disease required an immediate commencement of chemotherapy.
Thankfully, the singer remained strong and determined throughout the challenging journey — and took to social media on the anniversary of her diagnosis to share the amazing news with all her fans.

I was told I was in a perfectly healthy state. After my outpatient visit, a nurse thanked me for being an exemplary patient and battling through so well, which really moved me. I’m even more thankful TT.
Today, I gave a CD of my music to my primary doctor as a gift, expressing my gratitude for helping me return to my original place more than anyone else. I won’t forget their effort and wish to recover even better to show a good side again.
Thank you so much to everyone who supported me TT Many of you might have loved ones who are going through something similar and are worried. Just as I was able to bravely overcome stage 4 cancer and regain my health, I believe anyone can.
We must, and we will support each other with strong hearts.
