For some of us, K-Pop was our gateway to boy bands. Yet, for other fans of the pop genre, boy bands have been a constant in our lives, from The Beatles to the Jackson 5 to the Jonas Brothers. For lovers of boy bands, the 1990s to early 2000s were the prime time for boy bands, and many couldn’t help but love *NSYNC.
Consisting of Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, and Joey Fatone, *NSYNC, which debuted in 1995, was one of the hottest boy bands ever. They were hugely successful until their indefinite hiatus, thanks to Justin Timberlake’s solo career. Yet, they recently reunited for the film Trolls Band Together, including the original song “Better Place.”
Our worlds collided when one of the members recently posted a TikTok using audio from one of our other favorite boy bands: Stray Kids.
Lance Bass, who is quite active on social media, shared a TikTok of himself posing in various outfits, trying to determine what he should wear to an upcoming event. The audio was none other than Stray Kids’ title track, “Chk Chk Boom,” from their new album ATE.
@lancebass Grab your popcorn… we still have 4 more outfits y’all! Help!

Lance Bass summoned the Stray Kids fandom and delighted fans of both groups.
The event that Lance Bass was trying to pick an outfit for was actually the red-carpet premiere of Marvel film Deadpool & Wolverine. He and his members attended the premiere together (sans Justin Timberlake).
*NSYNC and Stray Kids actually have something in common in that they both have songs featured in the upcoming film. *NSYNC’s hit song “Bye Bye Bye” is included, while Stray Kids will release an original song, “Slash.”
