The Incheon International Airport and Incheon Airport Police Department filed the complaint to the police at 5 PM KST.
The airport reviewed the security company’s actions on July 12, which involved blocking the entry gate and checking passengers’ tickets on suspicion of abuse of authority and coercion.
It has also been revealed that the Incheon International Airport security team made the report.
Yesterday, the police summoned a security guard working at the scene as a witness and conducted an investigation. During the hour-and-a-half investigation, the police revealed they could determine the facts of the situation.
Last week, the airport security personnel were also questioned as witnesses at the police station.
Recently, actor Byeon Woo Seok’s security team received harsh backlash for its “over-the-top” behavior at the airport.
An online video revealed Byeon’s security guard using a flashlight at civilians to prevent them from filming. The video went viral online, with many criticizing the security team’s actions.
The security team CEO quickly admitted that “it was the security guard’s fault for having shone the flashlight” and “wished to deeply apologize for making civilians uncomfortable.”
On the other hand, the security team argued that the did not inspect passports.
