2025 is about to see a horde of popular male celebrities finish their mandatory military service and return to showbiz soon. Here are some of the major names whose return K-Pop and K-Drama fans are looking forward to:
MONSTA X’s Kihyun and Hyungwon
Kihyun will complete his service on February 21, while Hyungwon will return on May 13. They are currently serving in the 25th Infantry Division of the Army and the Capital Mechanized Infantry Division, respectively. Interestingly, the two members will return just in time to celebrate the group’s 10th anniversary with all the other members on May 14.
EXO’s Kai and Sehun
Kai is currently serving as a public service worker and is expected to be discharged on February 10. Sehun, on the other hand, will finish his service on September 20. With these two members’ return, EXO will end their military hiatus and are expected to continue their full group activities.
BTS’s Suga, RM, Jimin, V, and Jimin
BTS’s military hiatus will also end in 2025, with the remaining five members returning from the military at different points of the year. RM and V will be discharged on June 10, while Jimin and Jungkook will return on June 11. Suga, who is serving as a public service worker, will conclude his service on June 21.
NCT’s Taeyong
Taeyeong, who enlisted in the Navy in April last year, is expected to return on December 14.
Hwang Min Hyun
Singer-actor Hwang Min Hyun is currently serving as a public service worker and is expected to complete his duty on December 20.
Lee Do Hyun
Actor Lee Do Hyun, who is serving in the Air Force military band, is expected to return on May 13.
Kim Min Kyu
The Business Proposal heartthrob is expected to be discharged on September 30.
Song Kang
Actor Song Kang is expected to finish his service on October 1.
