TWICE‘s Jihyo got real about how she feels about leaving her twenties behind soon.
Jihyo recently posted a vlog from her visit to Hawaii, where she captured various moments of her vacation. She spent the last night of her trip unwinding with her travel companion at the beach.
While watching the stars in the sky, Jihyo suddenly remarked, “I don’t know why, but I’m suddenly having a reality check.” When the person next to her asked why, Jihyo answered, “I think it’s because the memories are just too good.”
Her companion then suggested that they visit Hawaii again next year, but the TWICE leader exclaimed, “I’ll be in my 30s then,” following up with a humorous self-reminder that she was still in the final year of her 20s.
Jihyo then spoke from her heart about her turning 30 soon (in Korean age), confessing that she was terrified.
But as scared as she was of letting go of her 20s, she admitted that she regretted the way she lived these years, being only focused on her work.
I think what I regret the most is that all I did was work. That was the time when I was the youngest. I could’ve tried everything, taken risks without fear but I spent all of it just working.

At the same time, however, Jihyo was aware of how much that hard work at her young age paid off. “I gained so much from it,” she said as her thoughts wandered off into the night.
As someone who has been in the industry since she was a child, it’s no surprise that the majority of Jihyo’s life has gone into her work. Hopefully, the idol will get to spend her 30s in a different way to her liking.
