Kim Woo Bin and Suzy have reunited for a new K-Drama, Genie, Make A Wish.
The pair had previously played the lead roles in the 2016 romantic K-Drama Uncontrollably Fond. After seven years, they have teamed up again for the Netflix supernatural rom-com series.
Genie, Make A Wish will tell the story of a genie named Jinn (played by Kim Woo Bin), who awakens after 1,000 years and takes a human form. He meets Ga Young (played by Suzy) and grants her three wishes to change her life. The two develop an unexpected connection after getting tied up in a series of hilarious conflicts.
Though the series was already announced in May 2024, Netflix has just released the first-look posters and a teaser for the show.

The anticipation around the show has been high, with many K-Drama enthusiasts placing their bets on this pairing to get the happy ending that Uncontrollably Fond didn’t give them. But from the initial reactions, it seems that not many are on board with the lead casting. Others also took an issue with the overall vibe of the teaser.
