The father of late actress Kim Sae Ron has publicly condemned YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, accusing him of contributing to his daughter’s distress before her tragic passing. He has also revealed his intent to pursue legal action against Lee and others responsible for spreading harmful narratives about their family.
According to Ilgan Sports on March 10, Kim Sae Ron had previously voiced her emotional struggles due to Lee Jin Ho’s online content. Her father revealed that on the very day she watched one of his videos, she attempted to take her own life.

The controversial video, uploaded on January 8, featured Lee attempting to call Kim directly and speculating that she had changed her number due to backlash. He criticized her lack of accountability, suggesting that the public had turned away from her as a result.
Following Kim’s sudden passing, Lee removed all videos related to her, but criticism against him has continued to mount. Her father expressed his anger, questioning why his daughter’s willingness to answer a phone call should determine whether she was genuinely reflecting on her past actions. He also emphasized that the negative portrayal in Lee’s videos and the media had deeply affected her.
So if my daughter answered Lee Jin Ho’s call, that meant she was reflecting, but if she didn’t, it meant she wasn’t? People have no idea how much Sae Ron suffered because of his videos and the media that blindly echoed his narratives.

Adding to the family’s grief, false rumors have surfaced online accusing them of abusing Kim’s earnings. Her father stated that their entire family, including Kim’s younger sisters, has suffered due to these claims.
Now, there are even posts claiming that our family squandered all of Sae Ron’s earnings. Our family, including my two remaining daughters, is being branded as such people. Do we have to go around denying every single false claim and explaining that it’s all fake news? What about Sae Ron’s two younger sisters? I desperately want to set the record straight and have those videos removed. Even if I wanted to refute Lee Jin Ho’s claims, I was afraid he’d record me and twist my words however he pleased.

Determined to hold those responsible accountable, Kim Sae Ron’s father announced plans to take legal action against Lee Jin Ho and malicious commenters. He confirmed that a legal team is currently compiling evidence to move forward with proceedings.
I want legal action to be taken against Lee Jin Ho. Not just him, but also those who posted such things and left malicious comments about our family. I want them all to be punished. A law firm is currently gathering evidence.
